September 2020: The percentage of poor people in Kalimantan Timur is 6.64 percent

Abstract

The number of poor people in Kalimantan Timur in September 2020 was 243.99 thousand (6.64 percent). In March 2020 there were 230.26 thousand (6.10 percent), which means that the number of poor people in absolute terms increased by 13.73 thousand people (increased by 0.54 percentage points).
During March 2020 - September 2020 period, the poverty line increased by 1.11 percent, from Rp. 662,302, - per capita per month in March 2020 to Rp. 669,622, - per capita per month in September 2020.
During March 2020 - September 2020 period, the Poverty Depth Index increased from 1.015 in the March 2020 situation to 1.031 in the September 2020 situation. The Poverty Severity Index also increased from 0.240 to 0.293 in the same period.
In September 2020, the level of inequality in population expenditure as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.335. This figure is an increase of 0.007 points when compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2020.
In September 2020, the distribution of expenditure for the bottom 40 percent of the population group was 20.33 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the low level of inequality category. This figure is down by 0.40 percentage point compared to the March 2020 figure.
